Starting with a comprehensive physical analysis, Dr. Par will design a rehabilitation program specific to your needs combining manual therapy, movement programs, and injury education to maximize your recovery.
During his 10+ years of clinical experience, Dr. Par has worked in the areas of physical rehabilitation and sports training. He holds a Masters in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University with a specialization in Environmental Physiology, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University, St. Louis School of Medicine. As a board certified physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), Dr. Par treats all orthopedic and sports-specific conditions.
He employs a variety of manual techniques including instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and active release technique (ART®) with the sole purpose of releasing tissue restrictions. Being a sucker for more education, Dr. Par constantly explores the ever-advancing field of Physical Therapy through extensive post-graduate education in orthopedic manual therapy and has completed certifications in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Spinal Manipulation (SMT-1, SMT-2), Functional Range Assessment (FRA), Connect Therapy Series and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA).
Specializations: Foot and shoulder disorders. Dr. Par is fully equipped with the latest in foot assessment and treatment techniques as well as custom orthotics technology. Orthotics aid in correcting misalignment in the foot to reduce pain and improve mobility.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Par can be found cycling along the coast, competing in triathlon or practicing yoga with his wife. His hobbies include photography, art, and travel.
