Physical Therapy Modalities

Dr. Par strongly believes that Physical Therapy Modalities should be used for two primary reasons: as an adjunct to restoring functional range of motion and to speed up the rate of healing. As such, he limits his practice to the use of modalities that are "tried, tested and true." These include Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (Piezowave), Shockwave Therapy, Class IV laser therapy, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT) and cryotherapy/thermotherapy.

Running Assessment/Custom Foot Orthotics

Whether you’re a runner limited by foot pain or someone who experiences stabbing foot pain with your first few steps in the morning, there is a solution for you! Poor foot mechanics during walking and running account for a staggering 80% of all foot and knee pain. Pain patterns as far up the chain as the hips and lower back can be attributed to poor foot mechanics. Dr. Par performs treadmill assisted walking/running assessments as well as multi-planar foot assessments in weight bearing and non-weight bearing positions to determine if foot orthosis is warranted. Dr. Par is trained in both foam casting and pressure mapping of the feet - using the Foot Levelers Scanner - to make your custom orthotics. He will then develop a treatment plan guaranteed to get you back on you feet in no time!
