PiezoWave/ Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy (MyACT™)

MyACT®TM (Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy), also known as PiezoWave, is an FDA registered non-invasive pain relief technology which utilizes focused sound waves for the treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.

MyACT™ is widely used in the treatment of acute and chronic pain in muscles, tendons and joints. MyACT™ uses acoustic waves to compress and manipulate targeted tissue, producing a precise, focused deep tissue massage. The results of the mechanical stimulus delivered by MyACT™ can lead to increased circulation and range of motion, as well as pain relief, all key components of the healing process.

Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT)

EPAT is a non-surgical technique that delivers acoustic pressure waves through a special applicator applied to the site of pain or previous injury.

EPAT can also be used for Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT), in which the applicator is used to produce untargeted radial shockwaves, which propagate in an increasingly divergent fashion as the penetration depth increases, much as the ripples in a pool of water increase in size and decrease in magnitude as the spread from their origin point. These shockwaves are characterized by long wavelengths with a penetration depth of approximately 3 to 5 cm, and can be used to treat tendinopathies and superficial/deep trigger points.

EPAT is a highly advanced and effective technology that can be used to treat a variety of painful conditions. It is a non-invasive treatment that treats and heals internal maladies with minimal discomfort and virtually no downtime following treatments. The treatment has been cleared by the FDA and has not been found to have side effects beyond the potential for minor short-term discomfort. EPAT is excellent for injuries that are slow to heal, or not healing at all.

Over the past several years numerous articles and abstracts have been published regarding the effectiveness of RSWT. Radial Shockwave Therapy is clinically proven to have success rates of 91 percent for calcific tendonitis, 90 percent for plantar fasciitis, and 77 percent for tennis elbow.

Shockwave Therapy is Effective in the Treatment Of:

  • Myofascial Dysfunction

  • Calcifying Tendinopathy / Tendinopathy

  • Shoulder Impingement Syndrome – Peri-articular shoulder calcification

  • Rotator Cuff Syndrome

  • Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spurs

  • Trigger Points

  • Medial (Golfer’s) and Lateral (Tennis) Epicondylitis

  • Non-unions and Avascular Necrosis

  • Repetitive stress injuries

  • Soft Tissue Strains

  • Bursitis (shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee)

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT)

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT), an FDA-cleared treatment, delivers an electromagnetic field into the body’s cells which promotes healing, re-energizes damaged cells, and reduces pain and swelling.

Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy stimulates and re-energizes damaged cells by inducing electrical changes within the cell that boost cellular metabolism, regenerate blood cells, improve circulation, and increase oxygen carrying capacity.

Ultimately, the immune system becomes healthier, the nervous system relaxes, bones and joints become stronger, and vital organs such as the liver, kidneys and colon are able to more effectively rid themselves of impurities, detoxifying the body. Pulsed Magnetic Field Therapy improves the quality of your life by allowing your body to function as it was originally designed.

PEMFT:

  • Regenerates damaged and diseased tissue

  • Repairs torn tendons and fractured bones

  • Enhances the synthesis of protein within the body’s cells

  • Improves circulation by opening and dilating the arteries and capillaries

  • Reduces swelling

  • Increases cellular oxygen absorption by up to 200%, reducing pain associated with insufficient oxygen

Class IV Laser Therapy

Deep Tissue Laser Therapy accelerates your body’s own natural healing process through photobiostimulation. Laser therapy is effective in treating chronic conditions, acute conditions and post-surgical pain. Ultimately, laser therapy not only provides concrete benefits to your patients, but your practice as well.

The effectiveness of laser therapy is directly dependent upon the power of the laser, as well as the ability to successfully administer the optimal treatment dose. Class IV therapy lasers are particularly effective, as they penetrate tissue to a deeper depth, delivering a dose large enough to produce positive reproducible outcomes. In addition, higher wattage lasers result in faster treatment times and provide results unachievable with lower wattage lasers.

These lasers provide a level of versatility unrivaled by Class I, II, and IIIb lasers, due to the ability of Class IV lasers to treat both superficial and deep tissue conditions.
